Rou Gui Oolong (Cassia bark)
Rou Gui Oolong (Cassia bark)
This Wuyi Mountain rock oolong is named Rou Gui or cassia, because the tea's famous fragrance has some similarities with the spicy bark of the cassia tree (an East-Asian derivative of cinnamon). These are mostly undertones of flavour. This is still a Wuyi Mountain oolong, and should not be confused with herbal teas flavoured with real cinnamon!
